Egypt Equity Markets | 14 Sep 2015 : Egyptian Equity trading continues with gains, market capitalization adds EGP 13.29 billion….
Cairo, Egypt, Capital Markets in Africa — Egyptian Exchange equity trading ended higher at the end of Monday’s trading session, after the equity market capitalization added EGP 13.299 billion (nearly US$103 million) to end at EGP 454.357 billion (US$58,045 million) from EGP 441.058 billion recorded at the end of Sunday’s trading session.
The benchmark index EGX30 gained by 76.1 points or 1.07 percent to end 7,158.1 points. The equal-weighted indexes EGX50 also went up by 0.66 percent or 7.82 points to settle at 1,199.86 points.
The EGX70 index, which measures small and mid-cap index, surged by 0.33 percent or 1.28 points to settle at 388.5 points.
The broader index EGX100 advanced by 0.60 percent or 4.96 points to 833.6 points and the EGX20 capped index grew by 1.27 percent or 85.37 points to close at 6,824.2 points.
From market activity viewpoint, today turnover was recorded at EGP 2,716 million exchanged in 125.335 million traded securities in 359 deals.
Among the 194 traded stocks today, there were 93 price gainers and 63 price losers and 32 remaining unchanged bringing the market breadth to end positive. The gainers were Nestegypt which gained by 9.88 percent to close the trading sessions at EGP 2.67 and Aracemco rose by 9.76 percent with closing price of EGP 4.16. Delta Company jumped by 9.6 percent to conclude at EGP 10.96. Misr Oils & Soap leapt by 9.09 percent to end at EGP 9, Ledco Group also gained by 8.79 percent to settle at EGP 5.82 and Nile Pharma rose by 5.93 percent to close at EGP 10.
On the other hand, Wadi Kom O mbo Company sagged by 9.55 percent to end at EGP 6.82, ANFI plunged by 9.38 percent to trade at EGP 7.25 and ESDK Alexandria slumped by 7.97 percent with closing price of EGP 363.5. Likewise, Pyramisa Egypt and Delta sugar slumped by 5.35 percent to end at EGP 18.75 and slumped by 4.85 percent to trade at EGP 10 respectively.
On a final note, Banks sector index advanced by 1.20 percent or 40.13 points to close at 3,371.39 points.
