Harare, Zimbabwe (Capital Markets in Africa):-The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index in green territory today and surged by 0.49 percent or 0.67 points to end at 135.53 points. On the week on week basis the Industrial index was down 0.29 points or 0.21%.
The market capitalization ended at US$3.555 billion after adding US$ 18 million from the previous market capitalization of US$3.537 billion.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$476,839 exchanged in 13 traded securities via 38 trade transactions. Foreign investor buys US$214,086 and foreign sells US$151,892 today. Out of the 13 traded securities, Old Mutual Plc recorded at US$203,056 exchanged in 72,520 traded securities and Delta Corporation Limited recorded at US$130,538 exchanged in 154,758 traded stocks. Equally, First Mutual Holdings Limited with 920,314 shares valued at US$19,603 and Mashonaland Holdings Limited recorded 569,125 shares with total value of US$11,439
From the market activities strength views, there were four price gainers, three price losers and six price remained unchanged, hence market strength ended positive. The price gainers was CFI Holdings Limited traded at US$0.0400 after adding 10.80 percent or U$0.0039, Delta Corporation Limited surged by 1.62 percent or US$0.0134 to close at US$0.8435, Mashonaland Holdings Limited closed at US$0.0201 after gaining 0.49 percent or US$0.0001 and Old Mutual Plc soared by 0.10 percent to end at US$2.80.
Conversely, Falcon Gold Limited was down by 20.00 percent or US$0.0010 to end at US$0.0040, OK ZIMBABWE shed US$0.0010 to settle at US$0.0748 and Innscor Africa Limited eased 0.01 percent or US$0.0010 to end at US$0.5949.
The Mining index lost 0.07 points or 0.20 percent to close at 35.34 points after Falcon Gold Limited dropped US$0.0010 to end at US$0.0040. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited, Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0280, US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Week on week the mining index eased 0.18 points or 0.51 percent.
