Harare, Zimbabwe, Capital Markets in Africa – The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index opened the weeks first trading session unchanged closing at 134.84 points. The ZSE Industrial index had the Year To Date down -17.16 percent with the year on year average down -33.00 percent.
The market capitalization ended at US$3.527 billion by losing US$6 million relative to market capitalization of US$3.533 billion recorded at the previous trading session.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$126,496 424,348 (an increase relative to 381,764 recorded at previous session) exchanged in 7 traded securities via 17 trade transactions. Foreign investor buys registered US$25,769 and foreign sells US$16.123 today. Among the 7 traded securities, CBZ Holdings Limited recorded US$98,325 exchanged in 1,092,500 traded securities and Nampak Zimbabwe Limited recorded US$2,397 exchanged in 96,255 traded stocks. Equally, Padenga Holdings Limited with 81,626 shares valued at US$7,510 and Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited recorded 54,240 shares with total value of US$1,085.
From the market activities strength views, there were two price gainers, three price losers and one where prices remained unchanged, hence market strength ended negative. The price gainers were Dawn Properties Limited ended at US$0.0167 after adding 0.50 percent or U$0.0010 and Delta Corporation Limited increased by 0.20 percent to end at US$0.8500.
On the contrary, Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited declined by 20 percent or US$0.0050 to close at US$0.0200, Nampak Zimbabwe Limited closed at US$0.0249 after losing 11.07 percent or US$0.0031 and Padenga Holdings Limited reduced by 2.12 percent to settle at US$0.0920.
The Mining index declined to close at 29.02 points today. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited traded at US$0.0200, while Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Falcon Gold Limited also remained steady at US$0.0040.
