Harare, Zimbabwe, Capital Markets in Africa — The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index ended the week lower at 134.11 points after falling by 0.60 points or 0.45 percent. Also, The ZSE Industrial index went down by 0.74 points or 0.55 percent on a week-on-week basis. The market capitalization ended at US$3.508 billion.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$508,170 exchanged in 17 traded securities via 35 trade transactions. Foreign investor buys US$88,031 and foreign sells US$392,717 today. Among the 17 traded securities, Dairibord Holdings Limited recorded at US$333,090 exchanged in 4,003,489 traded securities and Seed Co Limited recorded US$74,285 exchanged in 74,285 traded stocks. Equally, Pearl Properties with 1,720,870 shares valued at US$41,301, ART Corporation Limited recorded 1,505,503 shares with total value of US$9.033 and Dawn Properties Limited had 1,149,570 shares with value of US$14,027.
From the market activities strength views, there were two price gainers, four price losers and eleven prices remained unchanged, hence market strength ended negative. The price gainers were First Mutual Holdings Limited ended at US$0.0213 after adding 6.49 percent or U$0.0013 and Dairibord Holdings Limited closed at US$0.0832 after gaining 0.12 percent or US$ 0.001.
On the contrary, Turnall Holdings Limited sagged by 22.22 percent or US$0.0020 to close at US$0.0070 and Old Mutual Plc closed at US$0.0255 after losing 8.92 percent or US$0.0025. Pearl Properties Limited reduced by 4.00 percent to settle at US$0.0240 and NMBZ Holdings Limited ended at US$0.0360 after falling by 0.27 percent.
The Mining index stayed unchanged to close at 29.10 points today. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited traded at US$0.0200, Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Falcon Gold Limited also remained steady at US$0.0050. However, the Mining index dropped 3.87 points or 11.74 percent compared to week ending 04 September 2015.
