Zimbabwe Equity Markets | 17 Sep 2015: ZSE Industrial Index down 0.01%, foreign buyers lead, market cap drops US$1 mill….
Harare, Zimbabwe, Capital Markets in Africa — The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index was down by 0.002 points or 0.01 percent to close at 133.98 points with foreign buyers dominating the days session accounting for nearly 99 percent of todays turnover. The ZSE Industrial index stood at 17.68 percent on a year-to-date basis.
The market capitalization ended at US$3.499 billion after losing US$ 1 million relative to previous market capitalization of US$3.500 billion.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$2,848,274 exchanged in 9 traded securities via 23 trade transactions. Foreign investor buys totalled US$2,829,967 and foreign sales were US$2,836,796 today. Foreign trading was dominated by foreign Investor buys in Delta Corporation Limited at US$0.0085, Seed Co Limited at US$0.0100, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited at US$0.00275 Padenga Holdings Limited at US$0.0090 and OK Zimbabwe Limited at US$0.00630.
Among the 9 traded securities, Delta Corporation Limited recorded at US$2,623,177 exchanged in 3,086,091 traded securities, Zimre Property Investments Limited recorded US$7,535 exchanged in 941,930 traded stocks and Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited recorded US$83,378 exchanged in 303,193 traded stocks. Equally, OK Zimbabwe Limited recorded 117,528 shares valued at US$7,404, Seed Co Limited recorded 116,289 shares with a total value of US$116,289 and Padenga Holdings Limited had 79,135 shares with a value of US$7,122.
From the market activities strength view, there were two price gainers, two price losers and five prices that remained unchanged, hence market strength ended neutral. The price gainers were Zimre Property Investments Limited closed at US$0.080 after gaining 1.26 percent or US$ 0.001, Delta Corporation Limited ended at US$0.0085 after adding 0.29 percent or U$0.0025.
On the losers side, Edgar Stores Limited dived by 6.25 percent or US$0.0050 to close at US$0.00750 and OK Zimbabwe Limited closed at US$0.0620 after losing 3.07 percent or US$0.0020.
The Mining index stayed unchanged to close at 29.10 points today. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited traded at US$0.0160, Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Falcon Gold Limited also remained steady at US$0.0050.
