Zimbabwe Equity Markets | 28 Sep 2015: ZSE Industrial Index starts week lower, Market cap loses US$6 Mill….
Harare, Zimbabwe, Capital Markets in Africa — The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index started the week trading lower today decreasing by 0.0025 points to close at 132.18 down 0.18 percent from its close of 132.43 points recorded in the previous weeks trading session. The ZSE Industrial index was down to 18.80 percent on a year-to-date basis.
The market capitalisation ended at US$3.452 billion losing almost US$6 mill to the US$3.458 billion recorded in the previous session.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$74,356 exchanged in 10 traded securities via 17 trade transactions. No Foreign investor buys were recorded today while foreign sales totalled US$281.
In terms of values and volumes traded among the 11 traded securities, Colcom Holdings Limited totalled US$48,495 exchanged in 202,147 traded securities, CBZ Holdings Limited recorded US$10,587 exchanged in 127,551 traded stocks and Art Corporation Limited recorded US$520 exchanged in 94,497 traded stocks. Equally, TSL Limited recorded 60,073 shares valued at US$10,513, Hwange Colliery Company Limited recorded 43,400 shares valued at US$1,476 and Africa Sun Limited recorded 26,600 shares with a total value of US$532.
In terms of market activity/market strength, there were one price gainers and five price loser with four prices that remained unchanged, hence the market strength ended negative. The price gainer was Nampak Zimbabwe Limited closed at US$0.0240 after gaining by 15.94 percent or US$ 0.0033.
The price losers were Africa Sun Limited closed at US$0.0200 after losing by 20.00 percent or US$ 0.0050. ART Corporation Limited decreased by 8.33 percent or US$0.0004 to close at US$0.0055, Fidelity Life Assurance Limited decreased by 7.59 percent or US$0.0074 to close at US$0.090, CBZ Holdings Limited ended at US$0.083 after losing by 6.00 percent or U$0.0052. Colcom Holdings Limited lost by 0.04 percent or US$0.01 to close at US$0.2399.
The Mining index remained flat with the index holding its previous position to close at 25.15 points again today. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited traded lower at US$0.0150 after losing US$0.0010, Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Falcon Gold Limited also remained steady at US$0.0050.
