Zimbabwe Equity Markets | 6 Oct 2015: ZSE Industrial Index recovers, Industrial Index gains 0.31%, foreign buys are 85% of Turnover….
Harare, Zimbabwe, Capital Markets in Africa — The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index recovered from previous losses today gaining 0.0041 points to close at 131.72 up 0.31 percent recorded in the previous trading session. The ZSE Industrial index year-to-date settled at 19.08 percent.
The market capitalisation ended at US$3,438 billion losing almost US$11 million compared to the US$3.427 billion recorded in the previous session.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$67,717 exchanged in 7 traded securities via 13 trade transactions. Two Foreign investor buys were recorded today by Innscor Africa Limited for US$56,362 and Pretoria Portland Cement Limited for US$1,205 making up 85 % of total Turnover while there were no foreign sales recorded.
In terms of values and volumes traded among the 7 traded securities, Innscor Africa Limited recorded 90,907 shares with a total value of US$56,362, NMBZ Holdings Limited totalled US$1,793 exchanged in 56,020 traded securities, Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited recorded US$405 exchanged in 30,000 traded stocks and CFI Holdings Limited recorded US$481 exchanged in 10,643 traded stocks. Equally, Colcom Holdings Limited recorded 3,100 shares valued at US$257, Delta Corporation Limited recorded 1,560 shares valued at US$940, and Pretoria Portland Cement Limited recorded 17,880 shares with a total value of US$787.
In terms of market activity/market strength, there were two price gainers and one price loser with four prices that remained unchanged, hence the market strength ended neutral. The price gainers were Innscor Africa Limited closed at US$0.620 after increasing by 2.90 percent or US$ 0.0175 and Delta Corporation Limited which closed at US$0.8150 after gaining by 0.29 percent or US$ 0.0079.
in terms of price losers Colcom Holdings Limited decreased by 3.74 percent or US$0.0089 to close at US$0.2310.
The Mining index continued to show no change with the index remaining flat at 0.00 percent to close at 23.97 points today. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited traded at US$0.0135, Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Falcon Gold Limited also remained steady at US$0.0050.
