Zimbabwe Market Watch | 16th July 2015: Zimbabwe equities back in red …. ZSE industrial index down by 88 basis points
Harare, Zimbabwe (Capital Markets in Africa):-The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index climbed back into the red zone today pulled down by pressure from the Industrial sector stocks. The industrial index fell by 0.61 percent or 0.88 points to end at 143.56 down from 144.45 points, leading to -11.81 percent year-to-date and a -22.86 on year-on-year basis. However, the mining index increased by 0.93 percent to settle at 40.09 points (-44.09 percent and -29.62 percent year-to-date and year-on-year return respectively).
The market capitalization ended at US$ 3.768 billion while the market activity was lower today with a turnover of US$ 0.323 million (relative to US$1.19 million recorded at previous trading sessions) exchanged in 19 traded securities via 50 trade transactions.
Foreign investors bought US$139,212 and foreign sells US$105,491 at the end of today’s trading sessions. Out of the 19 traded securities, Seed Co Ltd had 115,512 traded securities at US$112,728 and Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited recorded 304,365 at US$106,528. Likewise, Delta Corporation Ltd registered 48,593 traded stocks with value of US$47,014 and Padenga Holdings recorded 244,148 trades at US$24,145
On the market price advancers and decliners, four securities ended in the green region and ended in the red region. On the green district were Hwange Colliery Company Ltd surged by 0.20 cents or 5.12 percent to trade at 4.10 cents and Turnall Holdings Ltd advanced by 0.03 cents or 0.3 percent to close at 1.03 cents. Likewise, Seed Co gained 1.39 percent or 1.34 cents to end at 97.59 cents and Meikles surged by 0.24 percent at 8.02 cents.
Conversely, OK Zimbabwe Limited (down -1.50 cents at 7.50 cents), RioZim Holdings Limited (slid by -7.14 percent or 1.0 cents to trade at 13.00 cents). Still on the red district, Innscor Africa Ltd plunged by 2.43 percent or 1.52 cents with a closing price of 60.79 cents, Mashonaland Holdings plummeted by 0.02 percent or 0.42 cents to end at 273.13 cents.
