Zimbabwe Market Watch | 21st July 2015: Zimbabwe equities climb into green…. ZSE industrial index up 0.77 points
Harare, Zimbabwe (Capital Markets in Africa):-The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) Industrial Index closed trading in the green zone today. The industrial index climbed up by 0.16% or 0.22 points to end at 143.70 up from 143.47 points recorded at yesterday’s close (-11.72% year-to-date and -22.71% year-on-year basis). The mining index was also up 0.77 points (+1.94%) to close at 40.87 points (taking year-to-date to -44.09% and year-on-year return to -30.67% respectively).
The market capitalization ended at US$ 3.773 billion up 80 million from US$ 3.765 billion while the market activity was higher today with a turnover of US$ 0.747 million (relative to US$0.610 million recorded at yesterday’s trading session) exchanged across 60 traded securities via 65 trade transactions.
In terms of Foreign Buys and Sales, Foreign investors bought US$22,322 and foreign sells came to US$326,526 (up from US$193,500) at the end of today’s trading sessions.
In terms of Volumes and value of trades, out of the 60 securities traded, Dawn Properties Ltd recorded the highest volumes today trading 5,255,427of it’s securities at US$1.60 per share. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited recorded 184,443 at US$320.00 to end up with a value of US$5,902. Likewise, Seed Co Ltd registered 123,974 traded stocks at US$ 99.75 per share with a value of US$123,664 and Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited recorded 92,000 trades valued at US$30,360. Innscor Limited moved 91,663 securities valued at US$56,831 while Hwange Colliery Company Ltd sold 78,935 at a value of US$3,236.
On the market price advancers and decliners, five securities ended in the green region and one ended in the red region. In the green district were RioZim Ltd which increased by 1 point (+7.69%) to trade at US$14.00 cents and Dawn Properties Ltd advanced by 0.10 points (+6.66%) to close at US$1.60 cents. Likewise, Innscor Limited gained by 0.50 points (+0.81%) to end at US$62.00 cents, Meikles Ltd increased by 0.06 points (+0.74%) to end at US$8.10 and Seed Co Ltd surged by 0.51 points (+0.52%) at US$99.75 cents.
Conversely, in the red were Turnall Holdings Limited with a -9.09 decrease (down -0.10 cents at US$1.00 cents).
